| North Carolina child care facilities are licensed by the Star Rated License system, a rating given to them by the Division of Child Development. Centers and homes receive anywhere from a one star (minimum standards) up to a five star (voluntary enhanced standards). | Child care facilities with a 1-3 star rating may apply for a Quality Enhancement Grant (QEG), which provides funding for enhanced technical assistance and new, appropriate materials for the facility. For more information on the QEG please call our Greene County office at 747-3331. |
